Feicui Bay
This natural recreation area offers a variety of water activities in summer. The elevation difference of the terrain makes it ideal for paragliding and drag parachuting. Feicui Bay presents a pronounced Southeast Asian aura.
Qianshui Bay
The coast here is both sandy and rocky. Various kinds of shellfish abound. The beautiful curved bay is blessed with gentle breezes, tender waves, and clear water. It also has a scenic trail and a scenic pavilion.
Feicui Bay、Qianshui Bay、Baisha Bay
Baisha Bay (White-sand Bay)
The bay, situated between Fugui Cape and Linshanbi, has a wide beach, and is renowned for its shiny white sand and clear water. It is the best-know beach on the north coast, especially popular as a summer water playground for young lovers.
Fenggui Douhu trail、Fulong Mountain trail、Niugangling Trail、Yinghanling(Tough man peak) trail
Guanyinshan
Fulong Mountain Trail
The head of the trail is next to No. 41, Lingyun Road Section III. It passes a number of green bamboo groves and two famous temples: Lingyun Temple and Lingyun Zen Temple, where the trail ends. A round trip of the trail takes about 40 minutes on foot.
Niugangling Trail
The head of the trail is behind the Stone Sculpture Park in the Visitor Center. There are quite a few places along the trail where a raised plank path has been built, so damage to the natural environment is minimal. On the peak is a sightseeing platform. A round trip of the trail takes about 40 minutes on foot.
Yinghanling (Tough Guys’ Peak) and Fengguidouhu Trail
This trail has a main route and a secondary route. The main route’s trailhead is at the side of Lingyun Zen Temple. The secondary route’s trailhead is at Fengguidouhu behind the Visitor Center. The trail is quite short, but it is steep and is quite a challenge to visitors’ legs.
Jianshan Trail
Located at the southeastern part of Guanyinshan, Jianshan resembles Mt. Fuji in Japan. Because of this and its location near the Tamsui River, it is known as “The Mt. Fuji of the Tamsui River.” Jianshan and Guanyinshan are linked by eight peaks, with the five nearest to Jianshan being known as the “Five Peaks of Jianshan.” The trail is steep and is a physical challenge.
Niuliaopu Trail
Located at the southeastern part of Guanyinshan, Jianshan resembles Mt. Fuji in Japan. Because of this and its location near the Tamsui River, it is known as “The Mt. Fuji of the Tamsui River.” Jianshan and Guanyinshan are linked by eight peaks, with the five nearest to Jianshan being known as the “Five Peaks of Jianshan.” The trail is steep and is a physical challenge.
North Coast

Linshanbi Trail
Linshanbi lies on the border of Shimen District and Sanzhi District, very close to Baisha Bay. The recreation area can be reached on foot from Highway 2. As you approach the seashore, the vast blue ocean appears in front of you.
Sansheng Trail
Sanzhi’s Sansheng Trail leads from Bridge 17 on the old Tamsui-Jinshan Highway (Highway 2) to Dakeng No. 2 Bridge, around one kilometer in length. “Sansheng” refers to production, life, and ecology in Chinese. The ecology here is rich, and the main special feature of the trail is that some places along its length have been restored to their original wetland state and are thus very precious.
Fugui Cape Trail
The wind-carved stones that Fugui Cape is know for gives the trail some unusual sceneries. Walk towards the end of the cape, and you will arrive at the northernmost point of the island of Taiwan, Fugui Cape Lighthouse, one of the most famous sights of the whole scenic area.
Balian Stream Leisure Trail
This stream originates on Zhuzi Mountain and is about 19.7 kilometers in length. Its catchment area is the longest and widest in Sanzhi District. The trail is near downtown Sanzhi, and is a favorite place for the locals to jog, stroll, or ride a bicycle. The fields around offer rural scenes rarely found in other urban areas. Fude Reservoir is on the middle reaches of the stream, and offers its own distinctive scenes.
Shitou Mountain Trail
Jinshan Cape, which juts into the ocean, was for many years a restricted military area, and for this reason, much of its natural ecology and coastal scenery has been preserved. From the peak you can see three of the eight sights of Jinshan: “Twin Candlestick Islets,” “Moon Reflection at Shuiwei Fishing Harbor,” and “Zhuzi Mountain Emitting Mist.” On your way back, you can choose to take the mysterious coastal trail to Shuiwei Fishing Harbor, to get two different experiences in one visit to Shitou Mountain.
