Twin Candlestick Islets
Twin Candlestick Islets

The Twin Candlestick Islets used to be part of Jinshan Cape, but was separated from the Cape by plate movements and erosion, in the form of an isolated rock arch on the sea. Later, the top of the arch collapsed, and the present form of two upright pillars was shaped, initially called “Husband and Wife Rocks” by the local people. Later, because of their resemblance to candlesticks, they were renamed “Twin Candlestick Islets,” the most famous geographic feature in Jinshan.
