The Exploratorium is designed to provide “Amazing Exploration, Intellectual Wisdom, and Leisurely Family Travel.” It magnifies the special features of landscapes and seascapes of the North Coast with brilliant colors and vivid, amusing handwritten words to attract youngsters and families with children. It is a place of rich and diversified knowledge, suitable for families to visit.

There are six major sections in the Exploratorium:

A: Beautiful North Coast
With interactive three-dimensional landscape models, this section introduces the themes of transportation, landscapes, and ecology of the North Coast, as well as the itinerary.

B: Amazing Landscapes
With the FRP floor and a model of the Queen’s Head, this section introduces the geology, topography, and natural sceneries of the coast. It also displays the beauty of the natural tidal rhythm to evoke the awareness of respecting the environment and cherishing the ecology.

C. Great Discovery of the Sea
The mini-submarine takes you to the abyss of the sea. You can fully experience the fun of exploring the deep sea, with the help of the fantastic facilities such as the three-dimensional theater, the ecology kaleidoscope, the electronic album, and the projection of the interactions of schools of fish.

D. Knowledge Jungle on the North Coast
Through the connection of a painted hallway of a starry sky, the environment is brought from the sea back to the land. The “Birds of Prey Soaring in the Sky” helps us to understand the mysterious trips of the migrating birds, and the interactive electronic book further introduces the rich land-air resources in the North Coast & Guanyinshan National Scenic Area.

E. Surfing the Waves
There are huge, wonderful facilities in this section to experience surfing, biking, and virtual yacht-interaction, as well as artistic decorations of paragliding, hang gliding, the Toufu Rock, the Lighthouse, and the Green Reefs for you to deeply experience the diversified travel of the North Coast.

F. The Secret Base of the Artists
This is a multi-functional space, with sunshine as the main factor of concept, to provide a place for educational activities and the heritage of art. The brilliant sunshine symbolizes the passion of the people and their happy personality under the influence of the art and culture of the North Coast.
