4 Kids House B&B

When you enter Zhibo Community, you will find some blue-and-white houses. These are the houses decorated by the owner Mr. Mai Lau and his four kids. Because of “poverty” (the mother of the family is deeply in debt because of having bought several houses in order to run day-care centers), the kids were raised under a strict father, and grew up to be great helping hands. Each kid has learned to paint, even to break walls and put on cement, since the age of eight.

One day, the mother had an idea: why not decorate the houses that could not be sold into B&Bs? The kids were almost shocked to death, because their mother was always a person of words but not action. But the wife-adoring father said, “Let’s take work as a leisure activity!” And the husband-loving mother said, “Though we don’t have money, we have creativity.” Thus, 4 Kids House B&B was created.

1. Drive along Highway 2 into downtown Sanzhi, turn right at Zhongxiao Street, turn left at Zhicheng Street onto (N 18) Longshan Road, and turn left at Zhibo Community.
