Hiking allows us to feel the every inch of the wonderful land on the North Coast Shore. It is the sensible feeling that we take advantage of hiking to sense the landscape. Maybe it is different from overlooking the land from the air; however, the real sense of hiking makes us more accessible to the real sentiments that come from the North Coast Shore.
The North Coast & Guanyinshan National Scenic Area Administration will host a splendid “Fuigui Cape Creative Hiking Activity” on July 30 of 2016 (Saturday) at 4:30 pm. The hiking starts from Baishawan Bay Visitor Center all the way to the northernmost tip of Taiwan, passing the Fugui Cape Lighthouse, and ends at the Fugui Cape artistic barrack quarter. The total hiking distance is five kilometers, which is suitable for children and adults alike. The beautiful seashore, with its ecological sights and fabulous sunset, with accompany all of the hikers. Participants can collect the creative stamps on the hiking route and take part in the prize drawing activity at the destination, including an 18-stage speed variable bike as the biggest prize. All are welcome to come to the hiking.
Besides Fortune Cape creative hiking, other related activities include biking to the four lighthouses in Taiwan. The bicyclists will be solicited to go to the Taiwan’s easternmost, westernmost, northernmost, and southernmost lighthouses—the “four points” of Taiwan. Biking to the northernmost “point” will start from Waimu Mountain to the Fugui Cape artistic barrack quarter, kicking off the first stage of the Taiwan’s “four pints” discovery trip of bicycling. Local market of souvenirs will be set up in Fugui Cape Lighthouse area for the visitors to choose the delicacies. International known masters of kite making and kite flying will also be invited on July 31 (Sunday) to the Cape to teach the public how to make kites and paint kites. Furthermore, ecological trips, fire jumping activities, field trips to local paddy on terraces will be organized to experience the richness of the land.
In the evening, an open-air concert on the Taiwan’s northernmost tip will be held. The invited singers include the golden melody award winner, Mr. Shen Wen Cheng, and the champion of Gongliao Ocean Music Festive，the group called “300,000 Year Tiger Plier”, among all other famous singers and artist. The concert will ensure the participants to have a wonderful day spent on the North Coast Shore.
