Dawulun Starry Night Feast

“Dawulun Starry Night Feast,” one of the programs of the Fortunate North Coast Shore Series organized by North Coast & Guanyinshan National Scenic Area Administration, Tourism Bureau, MOTC, took place at 6:30 PM on September 30 (Saturday.)  The event was held in the parking lot of Keelong Dawulung Fort and the observation of stars has begun for the first time in 2017.

This event aims to encourage participants to observe the unpolluted beautiful sky in Keelong City.  The get-together was accompanied by cool breeze at dusk.  The professional astrologists from Wulun Junior High School as well as the members from the Taiwan Family Constellation Observation Club were at present to explain the star maps.   Quiz shows and enriched astrology activities regarding astrological knowledge delighted the event.  This program also hoped to invite more visitors to come to Dawulun to enjoy the pollution-free star-lit sky.  A sky free from light damage is also advocated in this program.
