Its seven newly launched themed travel packages have been well received, and the promotion offering a suitcase with the purchase of a travel package, along with other special deals, has been extended to October 31. In addition, the “Share Your Everyday Adventures on the Crown Northern Coast” campaign invites passengers to share their travel experiences in exchange for souvenirs and a chance to enter a lucky draw. The Crown Northern Coast Route is also eligible for the Tourism Administration’s ongoing “Taiwan Tourist Shuttle: Win Your Next Wonderful Trip” prize draw. The Northguan Scenic Area Headquarters explained that this year’s promotional theme for the Crown Northern Coast Route is “ride the shuttle and explore the North Coast.” The route connects distinctive tourist attractions along the way such as Tamsui, Sanzhi, Shimen, Jinshan, Wanli, and Yehliu, allowing visitors to enjoy a variety of experiences (including seaside sightseeing, hot spring bathing, sampling fresh seafood, exploring historic streets, and watching the sunset) without having to drive themselves. Under the passenger promotion launched today, riders can scan the campaign QR code inside the bus and complete the designated sharing tasks to redeem a limited-edition souvenir. They will also have a chance to win a range of prizes including North Coast accommodation, hot spring experiences, tourist attraction tickets, and travel packages. This makes the bus ride itself part of the North Coast travel experience.
The Taiwan Tourist Shuttle 716 Crown Northern Coast Shuttle Bus has also expanded its reach internationally by participating in the 2026 Taiwan Travel Fair in Bangkok, where it actively promoted independent travel on the North Coast to the Thai market. At the exhibition, items such as route brochures, tourism maps, Taiwan Tourist Shuttle bus mascots, photo-op boards, and distinctive canvas bags attracted visitors’ attention. The staff introduced how travelers could depart from MRT Tamsui Station and conveniently visit North Coast tourist attractions along the route, including Yehliu Geopark, Shimen Arch, Ju Ming Museum, and Jump-stone Coast.
