Let’s go fishing on a beach in a traditional fishery village, blow conch shells to gather up people, and pull fishing nets with full force to bring lots of fish and shrimps home.
From the end of April to August, at Xialiao Beach in Wanli, a special event that includes traditional seine-fishing, conch-shell blowing, and crab-finding is held. Local fishermen serve as travel guides and teach the attendants about traditional fishing. The goal is to promote Taiwan’s ocean culture through edutainment.
