Taiwan wild lily is characterized by six dark purple lines on its backs. This is a proof that the flower is native to the island. The flower does not require much care. As long as there is sufficient sunshine and warm weather, Taiwan wild lily blooms. For a long time, it has thus been seen as the force of life in Taiwan.
The Administration noted that April, May and June are the months of lilies. Wild lily symbolizes “everlasting happiness,” and the Administration hopes to send good wishes to all. Visitors may find beautiful wild lilies at Baisha Bay Entrance, Linshanbi Hiking Trail, Fugui Cape Lighthouse Hiking Trail, Shitoushan Hiking Trail of Jinshan, Kuosheng Nuclear Power Plant Meadow (by Provincial Highway 2), and Yehliu Geopark. Why not visit the North Coast, immerse in a sea of blooming flowers, and listen to the “white horns” (wild lilies) that blow the sounds of the spring.
