National Health Bureau Provides Ways to Prevent from Drowning

As the summer approaches, more and more people go to the beaches and pools to swim or simply to be close to the water. National Health Bureau has provided a variety of ways to prevent beach goers and simmers from drowning.

1.Select the right places.

People should go to legal places to swim and it is better that the swimming sites are equipped with safety equipments and security guards.

2.Pay attention to weather condition.

Visitors should pay attention to the changing of weather conditions. As soon as the weather gets bad, visitors should leave the water areas as soon as possible.

3.Warming up is necessary.

It is recommended that swimmers learn methods of self-rescue when undergoing water sports. Applying sun tan lotions and warming up before swimming are also important to keep away from sun strokes or unexpected muscle spasms. Swimmers should avoid getting into water when feeling exhausted, sudden attack and feeling of illness, or wearing jeans.

4.Behave and do not play foolish jokes.

It is highly suggestive that dangerous and excessively frolic behaviors should be avoided. Jumping from dangerous spots into water surface and other heedless actions should be restrained.

5.Do not stay alone.

When swimming or playing by the water surface, the accompany of parents and friends is necessary.
