Beach Cleaning in Liu Kuai Cuo Fishing Harbor(六塊厝漁港)

Liu Kuai Cuo Fishing Harbor, (六塊厝漁港),located near the border of San Zhi County and Danshui County on the north coast shore, embraces abundant ecological resources; however, because of the pollution resulted from factory waste water, deserted objects, and other polluted sources, the beach of the Liu Kuai Cuo is not as clean as it used to be.  November 19, 2017 (Sunday), students from St John’s university, together with the Tun Shan Community Association will launch a beach cleaning program to call out the public to come to participate at the significantly meaningful action to urge the public to pay attention to the environmental problems more on the north coast shore as well as on the globe as a whole.

The beach cleaning activity will include two main parts: first, to clean up the beach near the Liu Kuai Cuo Fishing Harbor and second, to educate ecological knowledge and discuss environmental protection issues.
 
The activity will take place on November 19, 2017 (Sunday) from 1500 PM to 1700 PM. The meeting place is at the Liu Kuai Cui Fishing Harbor.  For detailed information and registration, please call St John’s University at-02-28011499.
 
The temporary of activity schedule is (1) 14:30-15:00  arrival time (2)  15:00-17:00, ecological education and beach cleaning, and (3)  17:00-  heading home.
 
The expecting result of the beach cleaning includes (1) to convey the concept of the environmental protection to the public ( 2) to evoke the sense of responsibility of the villages and the public alike, to protect the beauty of nature ( 3) to maintain the beauty of the beach of Liu Kuai Cuo and the fishing harbor, and (4) to train the students to get involved in community service program and to pay concerns to social issues.
