Award ceremony for photography competition was held on the 22nd

The list of award winners of the 2019 North Coast & Guanyinshan National Scenic Area Photography Competition has been released at the “North Coast Happiness” Facebook fan page and the competition website. In the afternoon, on Tuesday October 22, an award ceremony was held, and the 78 awarded works were displayed. The organizers, North Coast & Guanyinshan National Scenic Area Administration and Tourism Bureau under the Ministry of Transport and Communications, hope to keep records of the area’s vast impressive nature and touching culture with the help of photographers, while enabling visitors coming from far and near to appreciate the North Coast’s cultural and natural views through camera lens.

There are two categories for this year’s competition, “cultural scenes” and “natural landscapes.” The Asministration received a total of 1,717 entries, and photography experts and local artists were invited to be the judges. After several rounds of careful discussions, 78 outstanding photos were selected. The golden prizes were given to none, but two excellence awards were added to the “natural landscapes” category. The judges noted that the thousand entries are all of high quality. It seems that the competitors have gone out of their ways to express the beauty of the North Coast and Guanyinshan through all the methods they know.

At the award ceremony, the winners shared their joy with VIP guests, photography experts, and fans of photography and exchanged views with one another on the selected works. The ceremony came to a fulfilling end after the people took a photo together. The 78 award-winning entries can be viewed virtually at the “North Coast Happiness” Facebook fan page and the competition’s official site. They actual photos will also be on display at Jinshan Visitor Center from Oct. 28 to end of November. Visitors home and abroad, when taking a rest at the center during their trip to the North Coast and small-town Jinshan, are encouraged to appreciate the beautiful and touching photos during this time period.
