Organized by the North Coast and Guanyinshan National Scenic Area Headquarters (hereafter referred to as “Northguan Scenic Area Headquarters”) under the Tourism Administration, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, the “2025 Yehliu Night Tours: See the Queen’s Head Illuminated at Night” event has captivated the world with its transformative light art centered on the iconic Queen’s Head. Recently, it has stood out in numerous international design competitions, winning multiple gold awards across the U.S., Germany, France, and the UK, once again bringing Yehliu’s unique geological landscape to the global stage.
According to the Northguan Scenic Area Headquarters, the event transformed static rock formations into a dynamic performance space, representing a profound rediscovery of Yehliu’s natural and cultural assets, as well as a key opportunity to introduce Taiwan’s tourism to the world. The event’s innovative approach to tourism promotion has received widespread recognition, winning top domestic and international awards including the following:
- 2025 MUSE Creative Awards (USA): Gold Award in the categories “Event–Cultural” and “Experiential & Immersive - Interactive Outdoor Event”
- 2025 Paris Design Awards: Gold Award in the category “Lighting Design”
- 2025 London Design Awards: Gold Award in the category “User Experience Design: Exhibition & Events” and Silver Award in the category “Conceptual Design - Illumination

Building on this international recognition, the Northguan Scenic Area Headquarters continues to promote innovative artistic experiences. From now until April 19, 2026, it is launching a preliminary digital co-creation project for the “2026 Yehliu Night Tours: See the Queen’s Head Illuminated at Night”—titled “Yehliu Dual Queens, Living Legacy” Global Digital Co-creation Project. This project integrates the digital modeling and twin infrastructure developed by the Administration for Digital Industries under the Ministry of Digital Affairs. Creators from around the world are invited to participate through the digital co-creation platform, infusing Yehliu’s iconic landscapes with contemporary artistic elements and taking part in a global design showcase that illuminates the world.
