Universal Design Contest for National Scenic Areas Will Offer 800,000 NT Awards

In correspondence with the arrival of aging society and the development of equal rights, Tourism Bureau of MOTC has host a “Harmonious Equality: Universal Design Contest for National Scenic Areas,” in which the total award prizes will amount to 800,000 NT.   

 
Tourism Bureau of MOTC has indicated that “Harmonious Equality” is the goal of a barrier-free environment in tourism which aims for universally designed purposes.  In this contest, participants with creative ideas will be selected, so that they can contribute unique thinking and professional know-hows to bring about accessible, friendly, and barrier free zones for scenic spots and visitor centers in all of the thirteen existing national scenic areas in Taiwan.  It is expected that the winners will help assist the design for specific tourists who are in need of help in hearing and moving, regarding space, environments, and the optimization of traffic flow.
 
The groups who enter the first stage will be awarded 30,000 NT.  On the second stage, the first prize will be awarded 100,000 NT, and two silver prizes to gain 30,000 NT each.
 
 “Harmonious Equality: Universal Design Contest for National Scenic Areas” is  open currently for registration.  Tourism Bureau of MOTC encourages the public who have professional skills in the domains of architecture, civil engineering, landscaping, environment engineering, space design, interior design, leisure and tourism, mass communication, and craft design and so forth to take part in this contest in groups.  For the detail information about the contest, please go to the website of the Tourism Bureau of MOTC.
