Penghu Archipelago was chosen by the Lonely Planet as the World Most Beautiful Travelling Site in 2011. The archipelago, off the Taiwan island and located on the Taiwan Strait, became one of the members of the Most Beautiful Bay in the World in 2012. In 2015, the archipelago was elected as one of the “Asian Booming City for Travelling.” The annual conference of the international “Most Beautiful Bay in the World” is scheduled to take place in Penghu in 2018.
