Peng Hu National Scenic Spots Administration of the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Mass Media and Transportation has organized a series of sports activities entitled “Peng Hu Autumn Thrilling Sports Activities.” These activities, enthusiastically urged by the Legislator Mr. Yang Yao Li, aims to prolong the tourist booms right after the peak season’s end of the summer at Peng Hu archipelagos. The activities will start on September 24 and end on November 16. The seasonal beauty of autumn and winter at Peng Hu archipelagos will be deeply experienced through the holding of these activities and the local tourism industry will be enhanced by means of combining a variety of tourism resources on the islands and the goal is to attract more visitors to come to Peng Hu Archipelagos.
2017 Peng Hu Autumn Thrilling Sports Activities combines a variety of elements including Peng Hu traditional customs, islets characteristics, unique landscapes, gourmets, and leisure sports. The activities are scheduled to include the items as the followings:
1 September, 24: Yu Weng Island Light House 101K Cycling Race
2 October, 8: Peng Hu International Marathon
3 October, 11: National Beach Wood ball Contest
4 October, 29: Peng Hu Wintry Swim For Health Activity
5 November, 14: Table Tennis Tournament
The activities that fall after the peaked summer season will be linked to the Peng Hu Sea Food Festival, to promote the tourists as well as to appeal to the possible visitors for the autumn and winter tourism markets.
