2019 is the “year of small-town tourism,” and the Heping Island Music Festival was recently held by the Administration and Keelung City Government to promote Keelung as a coastal town. On Heping Island which is rich with culture and a magnificent sea-corrosion landscape, the summer music fest feasted visitors with pleasant music, fun water activities, and geological tours. All festival goers were cordially invited to explore a local open-air market featuring the “rock flower” seaweed jelly of the North Coast. An evening cruise ship tour by the setting Sun was held during the festival time for people to appreciate ocean views. Oh! Bear also dedicated a dance for “Ice Ice You,” the theme song of the 2019 Formosa Summer Festival, followed by the performances of Chris Liao, City Parts, and Sun 'n Rain. Finally, winner of “best indigenous singer” of the Golden Melody Awards Sangpuy brought to the audience a remarkable show.
