North Coast to hold four summer fests

Just around the corner, summer is the ideal season for enjoying blue oceans, bright skies, and beautiful beaches. The 2019 North Coast Summer Ocean Festival will soon be held in conjunction with the “Year of Small-town Tourism and Formosa Summer Festival.” Other than three joyous events - Jinshan Beach Sulfuric Fire Fishing & Music Festival, Heping Island Earth Music Festival, and Dawulun Starry Party, this year, Baisha Bay Beach Lifestyle Festival will also take place. All of the four events are unique in their own ways. Visitors can expect to have lots of fun.

First to be held is Jinshan Beach Sulfuric Fire Fishing & Music Festival. For this activity, local cultural and historical professionals will explain traditional fish-catching with sulfuric fire and two teams of fishermen will demonstrate the special method. Visitors can feel impressed by the remarkable scene of the century-old fishing with sulfuric fire.

 

Following up is Heping Island Earth Music Festival scheduled to take place on June 22 (Sat.). For the first time, the festival will be held at Liuxia Beach. Here, visitors can appreciate the scene of cruise ships entering a local harbor, as well as the park’s remarkable geo-scape. The authentic music and ocean breezes linger on and on in this off-the-beaten-track world-class tourist site.

 

On July 20 (Sat.) and August 10 (Sat.), “Dawulun Starry Party” will be held at the parking lot of Dawulun Fort, a place without light pollution. Astronomers will be leading tours and sky-observations will be held as a part of night-time eco-tourism in Dawulun. Everything is free of charge. All visitors are encouraged to explore Dawulun’s starry sky.

 

The last but not the least is the Baisha Bay Romantic Lifestyle Festival held from August 31 (Sat.) to September 1 (Sun.). In conjunction with a wedding photography event, 50 newlyweds/couples home and abroad, as well as elderly husbands and wives, will be in attendance to appreciate the beautiful North Coast. An adventure game, a football game, and a wedding music concert will also be held at the beach. The organizer aims to promote Baisha Bay as a romantic destination.
