In order to encourage the public to embrace the ocean, experience first-hand water-based recreational activities, and promote the charms of Zhongjiao Bay International Surfing Base, singer-composer Wu Wenfang was invited to star in a short promotional film.
At the mouth of Zhongjiao Bay the terrain is a concave sandbank, and the waves caused by the year-long north wind make it the closest surfing paradise to a city in Taiwan. There are many local clubs that offer surfboard rental and coaching, so regardless of whether the surfers are beginners or expert, they can experience the thrill of the waves. Zhongjiao Bay Visitor Center provides visitors with light meals, catering and showers. From the second-floor viewing platform, visitors can observe such natural wonders as Candlestick Shuangyu, Yehliu Cape and Keelung Islet, making it a brand new scenic attraction for parents and children to visit during the holidays.
While experiencing surfing, visitors can also go to Jinbaoli Old Street to enjoy local snacks such as duck meat and Jinshan specialties like taro cakes and baked red core sweet potatoes. They can also visit stores in the Crown Coast Sightseeing Circle where to buy souvenirs, or go to Lion's Head Mountain Park, Juming Art Museum, Dharma Drum Mountain and other featured attractions, including Jinshan Wanli Hot Spring Area to end the day with a SPA and delicious food. In November, there will be a gift with purchase event, with free gifts that include electric scooters, smart phones and many other prizes!
