Enjoy coastal scenery right in the heart of the city! The “2025 Taiwan Regional Tourism Alliance Market (Northern Taiwan & Matsu),” jointly organized by the North Coast and Guanyinshan National Scenic Area Headquarters, Northeast and Yilan Coast National Scenic Area Headquarters, and Matsu National Scenic Area Headquarters under the Tourism Administration, Ministry of Transportation and Communications will take place from Oct. 24 to 26, 2025 at the Huashan 1914 Creative Park. This year’s “Let’s Head Out!” event introduces the distinctive features of the Crown Coast, Greater Northeast Coast, and Matsu Tourism Unions. More than 70 high-quality local tourism businesses and 10 local, ocean-themed performance groups will gather to bring the mountain-and-sea charm of northern Taiwan and Matsu to the Huashan 1914 Creative Park. The opening ceremony will be held on Fri., Oct. 24 to kick off the alliance market.
This year’s outdoor alliance market incorporates the concepts of sustainability and low-carbon emissions, using eco-friendly exhibition designs to create a welcoming atmosphere. Low-carbon travel routes have also been planned to offer a market experience that blends sustainability-related responsibilities with local characteristics. Also, a variety of performance groups from the three tourism unions will take the stage, delivering art performances that are emotionally therapeutic and full of energy. Additionally, featured vendors from the Crown Coast, Greater Northeast Coast, and Matsu Tourism Unions will take turns to share their brand stories, offer free food samples, give away gifts, and host interactive Q&A sessions, bringing a joyful coastal leisure vibe that lets visitors experience the local charm of the region in a relaxed setting. This year, travel agencies from the Greater Northeast Coast Tourism Union (who have set up booths at the alliance market) will unveil two exclusive themed tours: “Summer Coastal Voyage at Bitou Cape” and “Winter Slow Travel in a Northeast Coast Fishery Village.” These itineraries combine ocean and mountain scenery, enabling visitors to rediscover the beauty of Bitou Cape and the Mao’ao Fishery Village , offering an immersive experience of the regions’ natural landscapes and cultural allure. During the event, both tours will be available at discounted prices starting from NT$1,499 per person, inviting everyone to experience the four seasons at the Northeast Coast. In addition to the market booths, the immersive exhibition “Let’s Head to the North Coast,” located in Huashan 1914 Creative Park’s M7A Hall, recreates the landscapes of the three major tourism unions through greenery, driftwood, and shimmering water-light effects, making visitors feel as if they have stepped directly onto the coastline.
A special limited-edition Tourism Stamp Rally Leaflet will also be available at the event. By visiting vendors of the three tourism unions and completing fun missions hidden among the booths and scenic spots, visitors can redeem a set featuring signature snacks. Visitors can also collect stamps to enter a raffle. Prizes include complimentary cultural and creative merchandise, gourmet food, local souvenirs, DIY workshops, hotel accommodation vouchers (of famous hotels including The Ocean House , Shangrila Boutique Hotel, and Shangrila Leisure Farm), day-trip tickets, round-trip ferry tickets between Keelung and Matsu, and a grand prize—a northern Taiwan tourism union travel package, where one winner will receive a two-person package.
The stage performances are equally captivating, introducing an impressive lineup of music groups. Wendy Wander brings soothing melodies that paint scenes of nature and gentle emotions. NeciKen employs folk and rock elements to “tell” heartfelt stories that resonate deeply with the audience. Vulgar Savior blends K-Indie, rock, R&B, funk, and city pop into their creations, inviting the audience to cast aside the constraints of daily life and enjoy a relaxing ocean-themed musical holiday. Local art performance groups, including the National Center for Traditional Arts (Yilan Park), presents the opening performance “Monkey King: Chaos in the Dragon Palace ,” while Indigenous Performing Arts Program members from the Jin-Shan High School use their vibrant and youthful voices to celebrate the beauty of their homeland. The combination of shopping, food, and enchanting live performances will allow visitors to fully immerse themselves in the breezy coastal ambience.
The character “兜” (pronounced “dou”) paints the image of someone packing their bags and preparing for a journey, whereas “兜兜” signifies an invitation—an invitation for visitors to step into the scenery of the North Coast and embrace mountain greenery, ocean breeze, and human warmth. Let’s head out to experience the unique charm of the North Coast and create unforgettable seaside memories.
