Recently, the world’s third most venomous Portuguese man o' war, a type of siphonophore, was found in the nearby waters of Wanli Beach and Heping Island in Keelung. Visitors taking water activities should stay alert. The siphonophore looks like an alluring bubble in bright blue and purple colors. However, it is highly venomous. Even touching a dead Portuguese man o' war can cause shock and cardiovascular arrest. Curious visitors are asked not touch it. If getting stung by a man o' war, please go to a hospital immediately.
