To promote Keelung as an eco-friendly tourist town, starting in August 2019, a souvenir activity called “Heping Island plus” has been going on. Each visitor can get a souvenir of small-town tourism at Heping Island Park Visitor Center, by presenting photos which they take in Heping Island Park and two other scenic spots of Keelung. Only 800 such gifts are available per month! The September souvenir is a set of reusable straws. All members of the public are encouraged to contribute to environmental protection, by using one of these straws!
What’s more, in September, a 50% discount is given to passengers of the“T99”bus to Keelung if they use e-cards. Along the route, they can find a number of local shops providing special offers. Why not take a low-carbon tour to Keelung utilizing the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle services. Get a limited-edition “Heping Island plus” souvenir and be environment-friendly, even when traveling!
