Every year, a great deal of marine waste floats with the tide from everywhere. This not only affects surrounding landscape, but also causes a huge crisis to marine ecology. For this concern, Yehliu Geopark continues to take action, advocating people to start with themselves and return marine a friendly environment.
Yehliu Geopark has been committed to promoting environmental education for a long time and will displayed the driftwood installation art titled "Whale in the Sky and on Land" on January 10, 2022. It is hoped that the driftwood artwork can become a new landmark on the north coast. The park will also plan a series of DIY activities with marine waste as the main axis to "Salute to the Sea" with tourists.
"Whale in the Sky and on Land", the wooden artwork, is provided by JD2017 CO., LTD. and has become a new check-in landmark of Yehliu Geopark for the promotion of reuse of marine waste. The park takes "sea waste" as the main axis, and has designed several sets of DIY activities exclusively sold by OwlTing Experiences.
