Keelung North Coast "Audio Comic Digital Art Exhibition" - "2023 Start Waves" is Launched in Three Major Scenic Areas

"2023 Start Waves" sponsored by the Northguan National Scenic Area seeks to reverse the negative impression of winter tourism on the North Coast and to do so has launched limited-time winter itineraries in the area. The month-long "2023 Start Waves" event was launched through the three major exhibition areas, waterway links and other events. Visitors are invited to feel the primitive warmth of the North Coast from February 11 to March 12.

“Start Waves” is an exhibition about climate action. Enjoy traveling locally and seasonally through unique ways of eating, drinking, playing and having fun; the curated content is connected through the three concepts of “Audio Comic," "Winter Swimming" and "Hot Springs." In the three exhibition geographic locations, visitors are free to use waterways to guide and connect waterscapes and landscapes, enabling them to develop a more comprehensive understanding of Keelung.

Recently, Heping Island Geopark has become a trendy scenic spot and attracted much attention through the introduction of multiculturalism, design innovation and contemporary themed events. The park focuses on ecological conservation and is welcoming to all ages, efforts that have been rewarded with several awards, including the 19th "Government Team Award - Excellence" at the Gold Thumb Awards for PPP, Ministry of Finance,” "the “National Sustainable Development Award" and many other honors. It was approved as the first geological park in Keelung City on December 19, 2022, and is the only national tourist attraction to obtain "ISO 20121 Event Sustainability Management Systems Certification” in Asia.
