Explore the Illuminated Zones of the “2026 Yehliu Night Tours: See the Queen’s Head Illuminated at Night”! “Yehliu Dual Queens, Living Legacy” Embarks on a Dialogue Through Light and Shadow

The “2026 Yehliu Night Tours: See the Queen’s Head Illuminated at Night” will take place at Yehliu Geopark every evening between 6:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. from Sunday, June 28 to Sunday, July 12, 2026. This year, the Northguan Scenic Area Headquarters (referred to below as “the Headquarters”) adopts the theme “Tidal Gallery: Yehliu Dual Queens, Living Legacy,” transforming Yehliu Geopark into a nighttime landscape art gallery. Through the integration of audiovisual effects and the natural landscape, the event showcases the captivating union of technology and geology.

The event begins in the entrance zone, “Tidal Gallery,” followed by the replica zone, “Starry Tide Light Realm,” where the two replica Queen’s Heads are adorned with artistic creations produced through public participation. Nearby, the geological wonderland uses light and shadow to highlight Yehliu’s unusual rock formations and create a playful atmosphere. In the Cute Princess zone, “Princess’ Studio,” rock walls are transformed into a giant canvas for the new animated show, “Yehliu Dual Queens, Living Legacy,” presented at scheduled times. Blending the imagination of local schoolchildren with the delicate brushwork of master artists, the show ignites Yehliu’s creative spark. The “LiYing Illusion Realm” in the Liying Lake zone will, beginning on June 28, create an immersive atmosphere that foreshadows the upcoming encounter with the Queen. Finally, visitors will arrive at “The Queen’s Canvas” in the Queen’s Head zone, where a scheduled themed projection-mapping show uses artists’ creative brushwork to portray the Queen’s unique aesthetics across time.

According to the Headquarters, “Yehliu Night Tours: See the Queen’s Head Illuminated at Night” is now entering its eighth year. For the first time, the Headquarters collaborates with the Administration for Digital Industries of the Ministry of Digital Affairs to launch a public call for submissions as part of the event. Sixty selected works will be projected onto the replica Queen’s Heads, creating an integrated experience that combines online creation with offline presentation and putting into practice the concept that “everyone can be a curator.” The event has also invited artists and local elementary and junior high school students to participate, allowing the spirit of “Yehliu Dual Queens, Living Legacy” to be interpreted from diverse perspectives.

In addition to the illuminated zones and themed projection-mapping show, street performers will take turns performing on June 28, July 2–5, and July 9–12, adding vitality to Yehliu’s summer nights through music and interactive performances.
