There are 4 types of venomous snakes in the lake area. The most common is bamboo viper, followed by cobra, pointed scaled pit viper, and brown spotted pit viper. Except that bamboo viper is grade-general, the others are grade-3 endangered species.
The cobra usually goes out in the day, unless on a stifling hot day. Then it goes out in the evening. That's why it's not easy to spot it. It doesn't attack people aggressively, but when disturbed it can attack fiercely. It emits strong neuro toxin that can make people die. Please be careful with it.
Note:
When encountering a snake, stay away from it at 1.5 times of it length, and quietly walks away.
If you are bitten by the snake unfortunately, remember what it looks like or take a photo of it, if possible, and go to a hospital soon.
We suggest Keelung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital (No. 222, Maijin Road) which provides serum for emergency use. You may also call 119 for help.
The cobra is an endangered species. Do not tease, catch, or harrass it.
