LOHAS tourist events to kick off at Guanyinshan in Spring

“Watching Eagles in Guanyinshan” will soon be held for the 17th year. This year, Tourism Bureau, MOTC and Guanyinshan National Scenic Area Administration will hold a series of activities in response to the 2019 Year of Small Town Tourism, as well as to celebrate the 2020 Year of Mountain Tourism in advance. The organizers encourage people to visit Guanyinshan for eagle-watching in spring, picking bamboo shoots in summer, and hiking in autumn.

Other than rich ecological resources, Guanyinshan is famous for green bamboo shoots far and wide. Among the many events held alongside “Enjoy Hiking in Guanyin,” “Summer Countryside Tour & Green Bamboo Shoots” will take place on June 1. A creative green bamboo shoot cooking show, a free tasting session, a bamboo-shoot harvest competition, and a farmers’ market will all be held. Members of the public may expect to enjoy the juiciest green bamboo shoots of Guanyinshan then.

Guanyinshan Hiking Trail is well equipped with many facilities. At its highest point, visitors can enjoy views of the Taipei Basin, Tamshui River Outlet, and Taipei Port. The visitors are also free to observe nature, take a forest bath, and try fresh farm produce. A relaxing place for one to spend weekends and holidays, Guanyinshan Hiking Trail awaits exploration. You are cordially invited to take a spring tour in Guanyinshan with family and friends.
