Organized by the North Coast and Guanyinshan National Scenic Area Headquarters (hereafter referred to as the “Northguan Scenic Area Headquarters”), the “2026 Yehliu Night Tours: See the Queen’s Head Illuminated at Night” event is introducing its pre-launch digital co-creation project, “Call for a Global Digital Co-Creation of ‘Yehliu Dual Queens, Living Legacy,’” which is open from now to April 19, 2026. This project integrates the achievements of the Digital Modeling and Digital Twin Application Infrastructure Project promoted by the Administration for Digital Industries (ADI) under the Ministry of Digital Affairs. Creators worldwide, regardless of their nationality, age, and form of participation (i.e., whether as individuals or as groups), are invited to participate. Through a digital co-creation platform, the project aims to infuse Yehliu’s iconic geological landscapes with contemporary elements.
The Northguan Scenic Area Headquarters noted that the “Yehliu Night Tours: See the Queen’s Head Illuminated at Night” event combines natural landscapes with nighttime light and shadow art, winning several international awards in recent years. For example, in 2025, it won the MUSE Creative Awards, German Design Award, and Gold and Silver Awards at the London Design Awards. Additionally, it won the Bronze Award at the Taiwan Event Awards. These accolades have successfully elevated the international visibility of Taiwan’s natural landscapes. To increase public participation, this year, the Northguan Scenic Area Headquarters is collaborating with the ADI, utilizing high-precision 3D digital modeling technology to transform Yehliu’s iconic landscapes (e.g., its Queen’s Head and Playful Princess) onto a digital platform for public creation, public reinterpretation, and global dissemination. This event shifts visitors from passive viewers to active participants, integrating their personal impressions and contemporary perspectives into Yehliu’s landscapes to create a cross-regional, cross-cultural digital twin experience.
The theme of this call is “Dual Queens Legacy,” symbolizing coexistence, continuity, and intergenerational inheritance of the landscapes. Participants must use the official models (i.e., the Queen’s Head and the Playful Princess) provided under the “Yehliu Night Tours: See the Queen’s Head Illuminated at Night—Digital Twin Co-creation Project” as the core of their works. From diverse perspectives such as heritage transmission and emotional connection, participants are invited to create digital coloring and visual reinterpretations. There are no restrictions on the creative format, and participants may use any type of digital drawing or design software, or incorporate AI-assisted techniques, provided that the spirit of the “Yehliu Dual Queens, Living Legacy” theme is clearly conveyed.
All submissions will undergo professional evaluations based on criteria including “Creative Expression and Overall Aesthetics,” “Conceptual Relevance of the Theme to Yehliu’s Landscapes,” and “Digital Application and Visual Presentation.” A total of 60 works are expected to be selected (30 featuring the Queen’s Head and 30 featuring the Playful Princess). Selected participants will receive two tickets to the “2026 Yehliu Night Tours: See the Queen’s Head Illuminated at Night” event and two exclusive postcards featuring their selected works.
The list of selected entries is scheduled to be announced on May 1, 2026. During the “2026 Yehliu Night Tours: See the Queen’s Head Illuminated at Night” event period (from June 28 to July 12, 2026), the selected works will be displayed in digital or physical form within the Simulation Zone of Yehliu Geopark. Participants from around the world are warmly invited to submit their works.
