The most artistic way to explore the North Coast this summer begins with the “Taiwan Tourist Shuttle Service: 716 Crown Northern Coast Shuttle Bus .” Hosted by the Northguan Scenic Area Headquarters and organized by the Ju Ming Museum, the 2025 Formosa North Coast Arts Festival will provide visitors with unique cultural experiences from July 18 to September 28, 2025. By hopping on the Crown Northern Coast Shuttle Bus, visitors will be able to travel between natural and cultural landmarks without the need to drive.
To support the Formosa North Coast Arts Festival, the Northguan Scenic Area Headquarters has launched the following special offer: a limited release of 300 “Artistic Journey in Juming ” ticket package for just NT$250 each (originally priced at NT$510). Each ticket page includes one admission ticket to the Ju Ming Museum, a NT$100 voucher for the museum gift shop, and a 1-day transportation pass (i.e., the Taipei Fun Pass ). The Taipei Fun Pass allows unlimited rides on MRTs, buses (excluding intercity buses with 4-digit route numbers) in Taipei and New Taipei City, and the Crown Northern Coast Shuttle Bus. The first batch of tickets was sold at the Taipei International Travel Fair, which was very well-received. Starting July 28, this ticket package will be available on the Sun Travel online platform, with a limit of 5 sets per person—available while supplies last.
This year’s Formosa North Coast Arts Festival, themed on “the tale of driftwood,” features large-scale landscape installation art and redesigned bus stops made by artists using driftwood. The main exhibition areas include the Baisha Bay and Ju Ming Museum, which contain three and five of said art, respectively. Along the North Coast bus line, bus stops at the Fuji Fishing Port, Fugui Cape Lighthouse, Shimen Cave, and Temple of Eighteen Deities were redesigned, combining natural landscapes with creativity to allow travelers to feel the artistic ambiance while on the move.
A perfect one-day cultural trip to the North Coast starts at MRT Tamsui Station, where individual visitors can board the 716 Crown Northern Coast Shuttle Bus (departure times: 08:00, 09:15, 12:30, and 13:45). In approximately 90 minutes, travelers will arrive at the Ju Ming Museum, where they can enjoy driftwood art pieces and permanent exhibitions. Later, they can head to the Jinbaoli Old Street to taste local delicacies and shop for unique souvenirs, followed by taking relaxing hot spring baths in the Jinshan–Wanli area. Alternatively, visitors can take buses 716, 862, or 863 to the Baishawan Visitor Center Stop to admire large-scale landscape installation art, then hop on bus 716 to the Ju Ming Museum to see more artwork. Along the way, visitors can enjoy both artistic bus stops and stunning seascapes. On the way home, they can stop by Qianshui Bay (by getting off at the Dajue Bus Stop or Qianshui Bay Stop) to unwind at a seaside cafe with dessert and tea, ending their journeys on the perfect note.
During the Formosa North Coast Arts Festival period, the Ju Ming Museum is also offering a special limited-time discount—admission is only NT$200 per person (originally priced at NT$350). Each ticket purchase comes with an exclusive “Artful Taste Walk | North Coast Formosa North Coast Arts Festival × Ju Ming Museum Culinary Coupon.” Visitors who present the “Artistic Journey in Juming” ticket package can also redeem this discount ticket on-site. Also, during the event period, the museum offers free shuttle services between downtown Jinshan and the museum from Friday to Sunday (departures from Jinshan at 10:30, 12:30, and 14:00; and departures from the museum at 13:40, 15:40, and 17:00).
