In spite that the news reported that “cracks on the neck of the Queen’s Head appeared, as a matter of fact, the erosion rate, under the supervision of the entrusted research team of Taiwan University, has being stabilized.  The research data demonstrated that the cracks are, in fact, joints phenomenon of the rock and the racks had been existing for a long period of time.

In the past ten years, the efforts on sustaining the strength of the neck of the Queen’s Head have been made and the related organizations have been attempting to maintain the formation of the Queen’s Head.  The exterior sabotage form unnecessary force is also prohibited from happening.  The Taiwanese research team, led by Professor Xie Guo Huang, has used the nano-organic and nano-inorganic chemistry skills to fortify Queen’s Head.  In addition to this, the North Coast Shore and Gunyinshan Mountain National Park Scenic Administration Office has asked the New Space to scan the neck part of the Queen’s Head since 2008 and the duplication of the Queen’s Head has been successfully completed.  The related projects include the continuation of rock erosion supervision and testing, and the research date will be used as teaching and research resources in the future.

Furthermore, the torrential rain caused the damage of part of the trail located on the third area of the Yie-Liu GEO park, and since this part of the trail belongs to the ecological area of the park, the damage caused by the heavy rain does not prevent the visitors from entering the GEO park.  The GEO Park remains opening.
