Liu's Rice Dumpling

In the early 1970s, when Shibawanggong Temple (Temple of the Eighteen Deities) in Shimen became famous, more and more worshipers and visitors began to swarm to this place.  Mr. Liu Kuo-sheng, who used to sell rice dumplings at a stall in front of the temple, felt that he needed more space for his booming business, and moved to a more spacious store right beside the main highway.  Liu Jia Rice Dumpling thus became the first store in Shimen specializing in making and selling rice dumplings.  The owner has insisted on using only the top-quality glutinous rice to make the dumplings, and has developed many more different flavors.  The hand-made dumplings are produced through very strict hygienic procedures, and have won the hearts and trust of many, many customers.
