The Governor-General Hot Spring

Opened in the Japanese Colonial Period, this hot spring is one of the oldest in Taiwan with very good modern facilities. Located on the hillside of Shitou Mountain, it commands an excellent view of the sea. Visitors can enjoy soaking in the hot spring and watching the view. Cold spa is also available. There is a restaurant on the second floor to provide fresh, delicious seafood, coffee, tea, and snacks, to go along with the beautiful view of the sea. This is an excellent place for relaxation.

Traffic Information

Driving:

  1. Visitors from the eastern and southern parts of Taipei City or Xindian area can take Freeway 1 or Freeway 2 to Xizhi and follow Freeway 2 and get off at Wanli Interchange. Turn on to Highway 2 at Dawuluen, pass Wanli and Yehliu to Jinshan. The whole trip takes only about 40 minutes. It is very convenient.
  2. From the Shilin area, visitors can drive along Yangde Boulevard (Highway 2-A) through Yangmingshan to Jinshan. It takes about 50 minutes.
  3. From the Tamsui area, take Highway 2, pass Sanzhi and Shimen to get to Jinshan. It takes about 50 minutes.
