富福頂山寺(貝殼廟)(英)

Audio Guide

Fufu Dingshan Temple, also known as the Shell Temple of Sanzhi, is adorned with numerous shells and corals in and out. A hundred kinds of corals and more than 600,000 shells are used for incense burners, pillars, and walls. Agate can be found, too. The temple looks so colorful and artistic like the mythological “Palace of the Dragon King under the Sea.” It is also famous for the 18-Arhat Tunnel that only one person can go through each time. Decorated with fine white corals, the tunnel seems to be leading people into a dazzling underwater world. The temple is definitely worth a visit!
