With the four major features, namely landscape, tourism, friendliness, and sustainability, the North Scenic Area Administration undertook the project of the Renovation for Heping Isand Park in Keelung. It not only improves recreational facilities and service quality of the park t, but also highlights the geological landscape of the Heping Island Park and the humanistic culture from the era of great voyage to today. The Administration won the Outstanding Award under the category of the Landscape and Recreation at 2021 the 9th Taiwan Landscape Awards, and the work stood out from the total of 171 submissions to obtain this annual award.
After Heping Isand Park has been improved and transformed, the public not only can come here to enjoy the scenery, play in the water, enjoy local special catering services, but also can make reservations for the fun and educational trips such as guided tours of rock landscape and historical culture, reality and puzzle games, environmental education courses, and seasonal special activities to have an in-depth experience of the natural, cultural, and scenic trip of Heping Island Park.
