Join the 2022 Hawk-watching on Guanyinshan Event and Get to Know Guanyinshan through Popular Science Facts

The Northguan National Scenic Area has promoted Guanyinshan eco-tours for many years. The “Hawk-watching on Guanyinshan” event enters its 20th iteration this year and will start on June 15th. The event provides 60 free guided eco-tours organized into 4 major themes, including “Watching Eagles,” “Butterfly Watching,” “Sketching” and “A Walk on Guanyinshan,” which gives visitors a more in depth understanding of the mountain from different perspectives such as flora and fauna habitats, human history and cultural customs. From September onwards, the 6 visitor centers run by the Northguan National Scenic Area will screen documentaries about birds of prey and afterwards professionals from the Keelung Bird Society will be invited to discuss ecological conservation. Several travel agencies are offering 1-day and 2-day Guanyinshan Light Travel activities that reduce carbon emissions by travelling in small groups. Nature loving children and adults are welcome to visit Guanyinshan breathe in the forest air, enjoy a fun escape and learn more about the area.
