Make the Most of Trails in Alabao Bay, Reservations Available for a Secret Exploring Adventure in the Rock Area

In order to create a friendly environment in Heping Island Park, North Guan National Scenic Area has worked to optimize trails in and around Alabao Bay, levelling the trail surface, and updating the surface of the walkways so it blends perfectly with the natural Taiwan lily and tofu rock landscape to offer a more comfortable walking experience. Visitors can book a guided tour on the official website and enjoy exploring this secret paradise.

As part of the “Marine Observation Geopark - Keelung Heping Island Park Renewal” project launched by North Guan National Scenic Area, Heping Island Park has introduced new park entrances. It also has parking areas and a bus stop, Muchun overlook platform, a visitor center, swimming pool and other facilities in an environment that has been greatly upgraded. The park also received a Svayam Accessibility Award 2018, and an Outstanding Award and Annual Award at the 9th TILA Landscape Awards (Scenic Recreation Category).

Alabao Bay is known for having the most beautiful sunrise in the world. It is located in a rock control area on Heping Island Park and open to reserved guided tours from May to September every year. Go on a professional guided tour to experience first hand the secret paradise of Alabao Bay. Let the 23 million years of sea erosion and weathered terrain tell the story of the Earth as it unfolded in Taiwan, and inspect up close Leopard Rock and Black Kite Rock. Visitors get to not only explore the unique marine geology and centuries-old cultural history of Heping Island, but also gain a more in depth understanding of landscape conservation.
