The Northguan Scenic Area Headquarters (hereinafter referred to as “the Headquarters”) is committed to providing high-quality services to its visitors. All 37 public restrooms under its jurisdiction have been rated “Excellent” by the local Department of Environmental Protection and have repeatedly received Excellent Restroom Awards. In 2025, seven Northguan Scenic Area Headquarters sites—the Headquarters’ Administrative Center, Baisha Bay Visitor Center, Guanyinshan Visitor Center, Jump-stone Seaside Park, Shitoushan (in Jinshan), Zhongjiao Seaside Park, and Guihou Parking Lot—were honored with the “2025 New Taipei City Excellent Restroom Award.” In addition, two staff members received the “Excellent Cleaning Personnel” recognition.
Director Chen Yu-chuan of the Headquarters noted that, due to heavy visitor traffic, ensuring that public restrooms are always well-ventilated, bright, dry, clean, and odor-free is a major challenge. Winning seven Excellent Restroom Awards again this year is a testament to the hard work of the cleaning staff, whose dedication and professionalism are deeply appreciated. Guided by a passion to serve visitors, the Headquarters will continue to advance the public restroom environment to achieve the goals of providing clean and comfortable facilities, gender-friendly design, and smart management services; and conveying the ideas of respect and thoughtfulness. These efforts are made to ensure that visitors to the North Coast feel warmly welcomed and at home.
