Lovers Lake Park

Lovers Lake is located on the mountainside of Dawulun Mountain at the western part of Keelung. It was the only highland lake in Keelung with dense wood, a beautiful lake and refreshing scenery. In spring and summer of every year, insects, butterflies and migrating birds often gather here.

 

The park offers various facilities, including kiosks, a hanging bridge, an observation platform, windmills and pathways for visitors to take a walk and enjoy the natural scenery, the beauty of plants and the therapeutic effects of being in a forest. Besides, it is said that if couples walk across Lovers Bridge hand in hand, they are destined to marry. It is also a great choice to stand on the observation deck to see the seashore.

Fun Facts

Lovers Lake is located due east of the Fortress, is not only the highest peak in the vicinity, but also quite historic area, hilltop fort Dawu Lun (National monument) built in Orthodoxy years, is an important monument was left clear law of war one was preserved, fences and associated buildings quite a lot, while the surrounding old banyan twine entangled meantime, but also for the region but also adds a lot of old-fashioned.

Public transport:

  • Take Keelung bus 505 to Qingrenhu Rd. bus stop; it's 30 minutes by foot from there. Take Keelung bus 509 to Lovers Lake; the park is close to the bus stop.

Driving:

  1. Federal Highway 1th (Zhongshan): Jin Shan/AC in Keelung Road Patu exit, and Pateh Road (5, Township Road) to Megan road, turn left, turn left after funds all the way (2 lines) and fund 208 lane turn left turn right you can reach all the way.
  2. 3rd National Road (North): miles/Keelung Foundation Road exit, turn left to fund all the way (2 lines), turn right onto funds 208 lane turning left you can reach all the way.
