Fugui Cape Park

Audio Guide

Located in Shimen District, Fugui Cape Recreation Area is home to unique geological formations such as the famous ventifacts, Laomei Green Reefs, and sand dunes. There is also a coastal hiking trail to take, aside from Taiwan’s northernmost lighthouse, Fugui Cape Lighthouse.

Walking against the winds along the trail, visitors not only can appreciate ventifacts but also reef-based Laomei Bay and sand dunes. “Wind-cut” trees shapes by strong coastal winds and beach plants resiliently standing on sand dunes are worth some observation. In April and May, indigenous Taiwanese lily blooms. From May to August, Indian blanket flowers grow. The wild and beautiful scenery in this area is awe-inspiring.

Fun Facts
