Yehliu Geopark

Audio Guide

Yehliu Geopark is known for its numerous strange rocks that can’t be found elsewhere in the world. It feels as if nature has crafted them with magic. If you are in Wanli, be sure to visit this globally renowned tourist attraction.

From its entrance to end of a cape, the park is about 1.7 kilometers long, and the widest part is less than 300 meters. As the direction of the extending coasts here and that of the earth crusts are almost vertical, plus wave erosions, wind weathering, and marine and crustal movements, rare and diverse geological formations such as weathered rocks, sea cliffs, caves, and capes can all be found here. The park is hailed as a natural geological classroom and a theme park of strange rocks. Take a walk and you shall find something surprising.

Fun Facts

The Yehliu Geopark is one of the most important scenic spots in northern Taiwan. The park area, 1700 meters long and 200 meters wide, consists of such special geographical scenes as the “Queen’s Head,” “Fairy’s Shoe,” “Honeycomb Rocks,” “Tofu Rocks” and ocean ditches. “Cute Princess,” an eroded rock that recently became popular, also awaits you!
