Yuanxing House

Situated right behind Sanzhi Visitor Center, Yuan Xing used to be resided by former president Lee Teng-hui. Known as Wang Tsu Ying before, the traditional three-compound building became famous overnight exactly because of this, and today it is visited by many as a main tourist attraction in Sanzhi. The Minnan compound is featured by well-preserved black tiles and walls.

Overall, it exudes a sense of antiquity and grace. It is especially enjoyable to appreciate this residence under one of the old Banyan trees surrounding it, on a rock bench. One may thus recall some nostalgic past.
