Dharma Drum Mountain

Founded by Buddhist master Sheng-yen, Dharma Drum Mountain brings together education, Buddhist practice, and culture as an educational site. It is known as one of the four largest Buddhist groups in Taiwan. As the place looks like a big lying drum, the master named it Dharma Drum, drawing references from the Lotus Sutra. The goal is to make believers feel the intangible power of Dharma as if listening to drumming in the evening and bells churning in the morning. Even those who have never heard about Dharma can be touched. The benefits of Buddha, Dharma and Sangha shall be spread to all, and the Dharma rain of compassion and wisdom shall make the human society healthy, peaceful and harmonious.
