“YM Oceanic Culture & Art Museum” was completed on May 4, 1915 and became an important building on the Keelung West Coast Wharf during the Japanese occupation period. In order to revitalize the historical building, YangMing Marine Transport Corp. rebuilt the former Keelung branch structure in 2003, and completed renovations on December 28, 2004. The YM Oceanic Culture & Art Museum has held numerous large and small exhibitions, and become a local landmark. The buildings new mission is as a combination of the humanities and art, promoting marine culture and maritime knowledge together with Taiwan's century-old shipping history.
