Bad Mama Keelung was built in an abandoned building that is more than a century old, right behind Mazu Qing'an Temple and in the middle of Kanzaiding Fish Market. Its interior design has won 3 international awards and was named one of the top 10 design bars in the world in 2023 by the British and International Design Associations. The bar was built from an old fishing boat, and all furniture, decorations and artwork were hand-made from fishing boat wood collected from beaches around Keelung, as well as recycled building materials from nearby abandoned buildings. The cocktail menu includes all the classics as well as a range of seasonal original bespoke cocktails made with local ingredients.
