Long-established, Shih-Cheng Ocarina is a ceramics factory in Luzhu, Taoyuan, specializing in playful, child-friendly ceramic products and selling them worldwide. In 1994, the company developed ceramic musical instruments called “Shih-Cheng Ocarina”.
As clay is easy to shape, traditional ocarinas were redesigned into a variety of visually appealing forms that can still produce beautiful melodies.For ease of promotion a standardized fingering system was developed, so no matter the shape of the ocarina, the fingering is the same and easy to learn.
